Treehouse has been connecting artists, performers, audiences and underground music events in Saskatoon since 2017.
In May 2017 S’Moore & Emilio started a Thursday evening tradition in Saskatoon. They used to haul speakers and DJ gear up 3 stories of stairs to get to the rooftop patio of Drift Vista Lounge. The roof top held about 80 people, and they danced many sunsets away while listening to good music with their friends. These celebrations came to be known as “The Treehouse Series”. This tradition has since evolved into a staple event series across the city, and in 2025, an inner city festival that is held in Saskatoon’s core at Shakespeare On The Saskatchewan. Treehouse strives to foster a diverse dance music scene and a community of people who are brought together by the music they love. Treehouse has also been blessed to have hosted and collaborated with artists and vendors from across Canada over the years. These artits specialize in performance art, visual art, dance, flow arts, fashion, and music. With their 10 year anniversary on the horizon, there are many memories yet to be shared.
How it started
Every Treehouse gathering is built with the same intention: create a space where people can show up as themselves, discover new sounds, and feel part of something that is alive in the room. The atmosphere is playful, welcoming, and a little unruly in the best way, shaped by late nights, shared dance floors, familiar faces, and the kind of spontaneous moments that can’t be planned. Whether it is a packed party, a daytime celebration, or a strange idea that turns into something bigger, Treehouse keeps its focus on creativity, connection, and keeping dance floor culture moving forward in the prairies.
